Digital Deluxe

What Deluxe adds

Deluxe is the base game plus one bundle, the Magitek & Grimoire Deluxe Pack. It is not a different game, and nothing in it is a season pass. The game is single-player and no live-service layer has been announced.

Steam describes the pack in the list on the right. Claim it from the postbox in front of the inn in the Town of Mitra once you pass a certain story point. Steam warns that the pack is also sold separately, so do not buy both.

The Deluxe Pack, in plain words

  • Magitek Armor Key. Gives your chocobo a magitek-armor look; toggle it in the Items menu. Cosmetic.
  • Archwitch's Grimoire. Unlocks the Fel Meteor Limit Burst for a certain character. Steam describes it as the one item exclusive to this pack.
  • Mastery Ring. Boosts the Mastery Rank Points (MRP) you earn.
  • Consumables. Tent ×5, Mist Potion ×5, Mist Ether ×5, Phoenix Down ×5, Remedy ×3.

Our wording; the item list is Steam's. We have not played the game, so we cannot say how large the MRP boost is or which character the Limit Burst belongs to.

Exclusive · the maths

Is Deluxe worth it?

The money question has a plain answer. Deluxe costs $10.00 more than Standard in the US. Buying Standard now and the upgrade DLC later costs $4.99 more than buying Deluxe once. The table shows the same sum in each region.

Our take

If you know you want the pack, buy Deluxe at the start: splitting it is strictly more expensive. If you are on the fence, Standard loses nothing you cannot add later, because the upgrade is available as DLC. The one reason not to wait long is the Mastery Ring, which boosts the MRP you earn, so it pays off the earlier you have it. We have not seen the ring in game, so we cannot say by how much.

Buy Deluxe now vs. Standard now, upgrade later Arithmetic on Steam prices
Region Deluxe premiumDeluxe − Standard Upgrade DLC later Standard + DLCtotal paid Extra for waitingDLC − premium
United States $10.00 +20% on Standard $14.99 $64.98 $4.99 50% more than the premium
United Kingdom £10.00 +25% on Standard £11.99 £51.98 £1.99 20% more than the premium
Germany €10.00 +20% on Standard €14.99 €64.98 €4.99 50% more than the premium
Japan ¥2,200 +29% on Standard ¥2,860 ¥10,538 ¥660 30% more than the premium

Each cell is simple subtraction on the Steam prices in the table above. The Digital Deluxe pack and the upgrade DLC list the same contents, so the extra column is the whole cost of splitting the purchase.

Bonuses and deadlines

Early purchase bonus

Buy any edition by the deadline and you get the Squire Kickstart Pack: the Blessed Cuirass (raises gil gained in battle) and one Mist Ether. After passing a certain story point, collect it from the postbox in front of the inn in the Town of Mitra. The Steam text applies to every edition: buy the base game or Digital Deluxe by the deadline.

How we made this page

Prices are the Steam store prices returned for the US, UK, Germany and Japan on 23 October 2026, with no discount active. Item lists come from Steam and the Steam announcements. The "Is Deluxe worth it?" arithmetic is computed from those prices at build time; the verdict next to it is our own judgement and is labelled as such. Collector's Edition details are press reports.

Questions players ask

How much is Final Fantasy Resonance on Steam?

On Steam US, read 23 October 2026: Standard Edition $49.99, Digital Deluxe $59.99, and the Digital Deluxe Upgrade DLC for Standard owners $14.99. UK, Germany and Japan prices are in the table above. No discount was active when we read them.

Is the Deluxe Edition worth it?

That is our judgement, not a fact. The premium is $10 and buying Standard plus the upgrade DLC later costs $4.99 more. If you are sure you want the pack, buy Deluxe at the start. If you are not sure, Standard is fine: the pack is consumables, a cosmetic, one limit burst and a Mastery Rank Points ring, and we have not verified in game what any of them are worth.

Can I upgrade from Standard to Deluxe later?

On Steam, yes. The Digital Deluxe Upgrade is a separate DLC (app 4347910) for Standard owners and was released with the game on 22 October 2026. It costs $14.99 on Steam US. Steam warns that the pack is also sold separately, so do not buy both Deluxe and the DLC.

Can I still get the pre-order bonus?

No. Steam's pre-order period ended with the 22 October 2026 release. There is a separate Early Purchase Bonus (the Squire Kickstart Pack) for buying by 6 November 2026, 8:59 a.m. PT on Steam.

Is there a demo?

Yes. A free demo covers the opening through the end of Chapter 1, with some level restrictions, and Steam says demo save data carries over to the full game.

Is there a Collector's Edition?

Press reports a physical Collector's Edition for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch platforms at $209.99 with a code to upgrade to Digital Deluxe, plus a goods box. It is a Square Enix Store item per press and is not on Steam. This is reported, not confirmed by the publisher.
